After the Flood. (How to.)

  How I made this image. With all the tols at our disposal today, it is so easy to tweak images and tell stories with it. Making an image like this is a very easy process. Only one small plugin is required, Flood from Flaming pear you can download as a trial version at http://www.flamingpear.com/download.html  Lets start with the original image.

Lets start with the original image.

 

After the basic adjustments, duplicate the background layer in Photoshop. As flaming Pear plugins don"t create a new layer, you have to protect your original image. Open the Flood plugin, and you will get a very small interface like this.

The controls lets you adjust the smoothness of the water, its height and create all the reflections.   Then go to Nik Silver efex Pro 2 for the black and white conversion. I just did very little tweaks on the white and blacks contrast sliders. Set a color filter and played with the sliders until I got the result I wanted

 To finish off the image, I just added a little sharpening on the building. A very simple process for a fun resutl.
